Red Velvet Gingerbread Men

Gingerbreadmen
I was thinking about Mallomars cookies one day.

Yes, sometimes I think about cookies. Be honest. Who doesn't?

And I thought, wouldn't it be cool to make mallomars cookies out of gingerbread men. You know, for the holidays.

So I did.

Gingerbreadmenrecipe
I bought premade gingerbread men, piped some marshmallow creme onto them and stuck those in the freezer for 10 minutes.

Then I melted some red candy coating with 1 tablespoon vegetable oil and dipped them in. I put them back in the freezer for 2-3 minutes to let the chocolate coating set.

Then I ate some. Then I gave a whole bunch away to the good folks at my bank. They sent me a Christmas card, so they totally deserved them. :)

P.S. Don't forget-if you want to ask me a question you still can. I'm going to work on answering a few over the weekend.

these are SO cute!!! What is Red Candy Coating?? Is it chocolate?

heidi, yes it’s chocolate that has a color to it. you can buy it at grocery stores in the candy decorating section or at craft stores like hobby lobby. it comes in little discs, easy to melt. :)

YUMMY! We got a card from the nurses at the ER that took care of Ruby today! I swear they filled it out as soon as we left and then walked it to our house this morning or something!
Do you have any chocolate bark related recipes?
