Cheese Straws

These are easy, delicious and cheesy (but not overly so). They would be a great addition to a salad, italian dinner or tomato soup. I had plans to eat these with some classic (Campbell's) tomato soup. But then the boyfriend and I ate them all while "taste testing." Oops.

Adapted from Martha's Cheese Straws in The Martha Stewart Cookbook

Ingredients: 1 sheet puff pastry dough, 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese and your own herbs or spices. I added in 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper and a pinch of dry rosemary.

Thaw and roll out puff pastry. Sprinkle on cheese and spices, roll them into the pastry dough using a rolling pin. Cut into thin rectangles and transfer to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, twisting them. Bake at 375 F for 8-12 minutes. These will burn easily so keep an eye on them;)
